15^th Annual Tidewater North Cotillion 3rd - 5th Grades

Class Meets: Saturdays 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Cotillion is the foundation for learning important social skills through dance. Classes provide a safe and fun environment in which students become confident and comfortable in social situations. Refining and practicing good manners, at this influential age, offers rewards that will benefit children throughout their lives.

Curriculum includes: Introduction to Social Skills, Meeting New Friends, First Impressions, Respect & Consideration, Everyday Courtesies and Table Manners.

Dances include fox trot, bachata, swing hustle and folk dances.
 
Classes are progressive from year to year and instructors work with students based on their individual skill level and needs. New students at any level will find it easy to adapt and extra help is always available.

Online registration begins November 7, 2011 at 7:00 AM.
All classes are held at Old South Country Club,
699 Marlboro Road. All classes have dance instruction.

Registration Fee: The registration fee for the cotillion program is $195 per student. Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register early because class size is limited. A minimum number of students is required for the JDW Cotillions staff to travel and direct this program.

Class Attire - Very Important: Young ladies are required to wear dresses or dress skirts and blouses appropriate for dancing, flats or low heels and white gloves. It is strongly recommended that young ladies do not wear strapless dresses. Young gentlemen are required to wear traditional suits or sport coats, ties and dress shoes. Please adhere to the dress code to avoid any unnecessary embarrassment.

Parents: Parents are cordially invited to view any of the classes and encouraged to attend and participate in the Final Party. Photographing or video taping students is not allowed during any class with the exception of the Final Party. JDW Cotillions respectfully requests that parents observing classes dress appropriately and cooperate with our no alcohol policy.

JDW Cotillions and the Old South Country Club are not responsible for children before they arrive or after they leave class. With the exception of extraordinary circumstances, there will be no refunds. Scheduling changes may occur due to unexpected circumstances.
