Registration Step 4 - View Class Schedule
37th Annual Spring Cotillion at the Cable Center 6th Grade
Class Meets: Sundays 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. - 7 ½ hours
Please note: All JDW programs include dancing as a tool to reinforce the social skills training, insuring students will enjoy themselves in the process of interacting and learning important skills. Classes are progressive from year to year, however new students entering any level will find it easy to adapt and extra help is always available.
All students will receive an electronic handbook after the final class that reviews the particular class level subject matter.
Club Cotillion will demonstrate to students the affect social skills have in developing confidence and self-esteem, in learning about empathy and cooperation. Students will learn how first impressions can nurture relationships, the do’s and taboo’s of communication / tech, and how courtesy is a form of leadership. This class will include a demonstration on table etiquette and table manners, and feature a hands-on experience perfecting silverware usage with a dessert. The dance education will include fox trot and waltz with patterns, Merengue and Cha Cha with patterns, line, and swing – with advanced patterns.
